  • What is the difference between CBD and CBG?
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of hundreds of compounds called cannabinoids that are naturally occurring in the cannabis plant. A few of the more popular cannabinoids are commonly known as THC, CBD, CBG, CBC and CBN. CBD and THC are not the same, although they come from the same plant. You cannot get "high" from CBD hemp (with low levels of THC) nor from CBD oil products with no THC at all. CBG is referred to as the "mother" cannabinoid and it plays a central role in the development of CBD. It develops early in the growth of the hemp plant before the CBD part of the plant grows. They both offer benefits individually but together they produce "the entourage effect" which makes it easier to boost the unique effects of both of the cannabinoids.
  • What does Full Spectrum oil mean?
Full spectrum means that an oil or product contains all the cannabinoids that are naturally occurring in the cannabis plant. Quality full spectrum CBD products are typically high in CBD, with only trace amounts of minor cannabinoids, and very low in THC (less than 0.3%). Despite these relatively low amounts, the overall composition is considered “full spectrum” and is synonymous with the “entourage effect” – which refers to the increased effectiveness of these products due to the different cannabinoids working synergistically. Full spectrum products are considered more effective than products that are CBD isolate derived. Products that are isolate derived will only contain the isolated CBD molecule.
  • Is CBD legal in all states?
Yes, purchasing CBD is federally legal as long as it doesn't contain more than 0.3 percent THC. Industrial hemp plants are legal in most states without a prescription.
  • Is CBD safe for pets?
It is recommended to use a pet-specific product containing CBD for pets. There is anecdotal evidence showing benefits of CBD for pets and decreases pain and anxiety.
  • Is it possible to overdose on CBD?
It is not possible to overdose on CBD. CBD is non-toxic, so it is not possible to overdose by edibles, oils, or topicals.
